Beginners Courses
We intend to run beginners classes again in 2016. These will probably be in April – to be confirmed.
This year we are planning on running two half day sessions (9.30am – 2pm) for anyone wanting to start beekeeping: each will be a theory session followed an apiary visit and practical session on (e.g.) making up frames and hives.
Further information from Amanda Clydesdale (secretary).

2015 Schedule & Rules (Download)
There are 2 new classes – honey cake (must use the BBC recipe) and a bee-related photograph. So even if you don’t have honey, or have just started beekeeping, you can still put something in the show. Entry is free.
Check over the Schedule and make sure your entries comply with the rules, please. (even if you don’t have the right jars, you may be able to obtain some – contact secretary!)
Volunteers are needed on the night to help set it up, and to keep track of the scores. Please let Mandy know if you can help.
